Budding200730cm*230cm*130cmA stylized depiction of the beauty of buds just about to open. Five pieces in a row, with a progressively more open white flower. White, glazed ceramic shapes showing stylized buds, placed on top of five contrasting dark, rough textured ceramic cubes. Each piece has a metal construction ser into the ground, that anchors the plinth and goes up through the pieces to ensure they are stable and safe. Conceived for and exhibited at Sculpture in Context 2007 in the Botanic Gardens, Dublin, Ireland. Also exhibited at Blooms in Phoenix Park in 2008 at the craft exhibition organized by the Crafts Council of Ireland. Awarded prize of Best Craft in the Garden at Bloom 2008 by the Crafts Council of Ireland and purchased by the Crafts Council of Ireland.

Grass2006200 cm*100cm*100cmSmoke fired ceramics and metal aramature Conceived and created for Sculpture in Context 2006 in the Botanic Gardens, Dublin, Ireland, this piece is concerned with the sinuousness and sensual shape of grasses and tall leaves. It was built in sections around a central metal core, in some ways mimicking the way plants and osmosis work to get nutrients and water to all parts of the plant. Conceived for and exhibited at Sculpture in Context 2006 in the Botanic Gardens, Dublin, Ireland. Purchased for permanent display by Millcove Gallery Sculpture Gardens.
